We’re advocates fighting for a world without exploitation.

What begin with one person’s passion to fight for human rights, and one successful Movement For The Movement Fundraiser, Rollerskate to Liberate quickly turned itself into a nonprofit in October 2020. And we’re taking an approach to roll over human trafficking that’s never been done before - by lacing up our skates.

We believe the exploitation of humans happens because certain risk factors are built within our society, causing individuals to become vulnerable, and trafficking profitable.

Rollerskate to Liberate takes an engaging, educational approach, by providing easy to digest and clear actionable steps to identifying, fighting, and preventing human trafficking.

So, what’s with the rollerskating?

Lived Experience Leader, Rayanne Irving’s take on Rollerskate to Liberate

Rollerskating has been a symbol of liberation since the 1950s. It’s often the way skaters describe they feel on four wheels - ‘free.’

We use the liberating expression and community of rollerskating as a medium to draw people in and engage them in these difficult conversations. How?

  • Every June we gather advocates across the nation to partake in the #MovefortheMovement Challenge. A fun, simple way to raise awareness and donations for programs that empower survivors.

  • Through our family-focused programs offered in the RS2L Learning Hub, parents can facilitate healthy conversations with their kids. Featuring engaging colorful content kids will want to be a part of.

Exploitation ends when we are aware of how it happens and are working to ending it. Join us and be apart of the story. Read more about our founder and how this began.
